Kuma would’ve loved Virginia if I could ever get him to get on a plane.
This weekend I took a little trip to the East Coast for a change. I landed around sunrise and decided to take the Silver Line Metro from VA to DC. The buildings in downtown DC look rustic and beautiful.
My cousin walked the stage at Liberty University in Viriginia with her Masters and was also part of a separate military graduate commencement. I ugly cried at both ceremonies. I have so much love & respect for the military and I absolutely love a pastor that can set souls on fire. I’m so damn proud of my cousin, for her service and all the things she pursued/accomplished while actively on service.
She then surprised me with a stay at Peaks of Otters Lodge right by a lake in Bedford; We took a little hike nearby and it was the stuff of my Twilight forest dream <3 I’ve never been to this kind of forest-y part of the country and it was like a breath of fresh air.
& if i wasn’t already surprised by the nature part of the adventure, what were the chances that my ugly ass best friend & I were unknowingly both out on the East Coast for our cousin’s graduation for the weekend. This fool went to a National’s baseball game and did not wear his Dodger gear. *eyeroll* xD
Ps. I spent the last night at this bar in DC. I don’t think i’ve ever heard EDM versions of songs from ACDC or that one Take on Me 80s song before. It was so random and I loved it.
