Henlo nerds~
How’re you now? Me, i’m relatively well. I’ve prolly been asked more than a handful of times lately, “When do you work? You’re always outside”. Most of the outdoors stuff I post on IG are ads xD. In real life, i spend most days on my desk at home for 12 hours. I figured the more people are inspired to go outside (especially through hipcamp), I get a a little something out of it. It still trips me out that Instagram feels like everything happened that day. I’m trying to get away from the habit of sharing instantly, so i can be more intentional in what I post.. especially if i’m doing it to keep getting my bag from hipcamp and other ambassador-ships.
Here’s some stuffs I thought I’d share with ya this week, bud.
My friends DO DINNER. Last weekend, they decided to have a family style hot pot dinner and Lynn went all out. Different soup bases, meats and vegetables. We ate for hours, took a break, then turned the leftovers into kbbq. And in typical it’s been-a-while-since-one-of-our-homies-came-around fashion, we may have possibly over did it with the irish car bombs, soju bombs, and random tequila tastings. When i grow up, I want to be like Lynn & CP; they inspire me to have more nights like this.
Once upon a time, Lala told Dipsy that she was “acting tough” in front of all the Teletubbies. Dipsy thought nothing of it, she hardly believed anything Dipsy ever said. Dipsy figured that acting tough was way better than acting scared or weak, especially since Lala had been antagonizing for years. But just like in Shoresy, the big story is that she may have poked the bear. And you know what they say, don’t poke the bear. But.. who’s the bear?
Here’s a favorite photo i’ve taken since the last spam. I don’t really get to practice with many portrait styles so it was fun and, not gone lie, challenging. Maybe one day i’ll finally get in the groove with my external flash xD My homie and I have known each other since middle school and to put things into perspective, that’s a whole ass 20 years. Gross lol You can imagine how much growing we’ve both done during that time.
Yeah so,
Graduation season always gets me feeling some typa way. When my little sister graduated high school, it was one thing. When she graduated from college, it was an even bigger thing. For a while, we were both working from home; it was the seemingly good life of napping during our lunch breaks and waking up 15 minutes before work. But she didn’t feel connected with her work so after a few months, this bitch quit her job. While she put in her two weeks, she consistently worked at looking for other opportunities and scheduled a bunch of interviews. Now, she’s graduating to a job with the County where she feels she serves a better purpose to her career goals. She’ll be working and continuing to make her way to law school. She ain’t the golden child for no reason lol Maybe take it from James Clear who wrote, “It’s hard to grow beyond something if you won’t let go of it.” How does she do it? Who knows? I don’t give good advice so it wasn’t from me xD But what i do know, is that i’m lucky to constantly be inspired by little stories like that.
Until next time,
P.s. Here’s something from the dungeon that is my archives. In 2017, I moved to an apartment in LA from Murrieta. I had a white board where I let my friends draw whatever when they came over. I think next time around i’ll have a wooden board that I can eventually keep in my cave bc thnks fr th mmrs.
